Williams enjoying Toronto “way more” than Miami

TORONTO – After being suspended from the National Football League for substance abuse violations, former Miami Dolphins’ running back Ricky Williams says he is having a great time in Canada.

“I really dig it, man” said a very relaxed Williams “it’s so peaceful up here, dude, nobody hassles me about my beard or my tongue-ring or aboutWilliams (stoned) moments after finding intruders in his living room stealing his plasma TV how gay I sound when I talk… it’s wonderful”.

The former Miami Dolphins tailback was suspended from playing football in the NFL for the 2006 season after failing a league mandated drug test for the fourth time. Williams appealed to the league that the results from the drug test were inaccurate, but it was to no avail as the NFL stood firm behind their punishment.

Since, Williams has found a new home with the Canadian Football League’s Toronto Argonauts, where he signed a one-year $240,000 contract.

“Miami is nice if nightclubs, beaches, beautiful weather and bikini-clad women are your thing, but for me, I’m having way more fun up here, it’s been a totally peaceful experience” Williams continued “I’ve had more time to focus on my yoga and meditation; the medical marijuana laws are real lax and since most people don’t even care about football around here, I can go anywhere and just be one of the 107 black people in Canada”.

Williams’ agent, Leigh Steinberg, said the former Heisman trophy winner has also expressed interest in possibly playing for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe if the option was presented to him.
